Puppy Kindergarten is designed to build a solid foundation for a well-behaved, confident adult dog through training, socialization, confidence-building, and owner education. Here’s what we’ll cover:

• Building Healthy Routines: Address common puppy challenges like potty training, biting, crate training, and ensuring your puppy gets the rest they need.

• Safe Socialization: Learn how to safely expose your puppy to new experiences, helping them develop healthy coping and social skills.

• Comfort with the Crate: Discover techniques to help your puppy feel safe and calm in their crate, reducing stress and protecting your home.

• Housebreaking Success: Follow our easy guideline to achieve reliable housebreaking.

• Positive Grooming Habits: Teach your puppy to tolerate brushing, bathing, and nail trims, building a foundation for enjoyable grooming experiences.

• Basic Skills: Introduce essential commands such as sit, down, leash manners, and recall.

• Appropriate Play: Encourage your puppy to bring items to you willingly, reducing tendencies to grab or run away.

• Trust & Respect: Build a relationship based on mutual trust to minimize resource guarding.

• Preventing Separation Anxiety: Get the tools to create a strong bond with your puppy to help prevent separation anxiety.

• Calm Settling: Teach your puppy to settle at your feet, perfect for outings to dog-friendly spots as they grow.

Requirements: Puppies need only their first set of vaccinations and a negative stool sample (no parasites or Giardia) to participate.

We align with The American Veterinary Society of Animal Behaviorists' guidelines that puppies can start socialization classes as early as 7-8 weeks old. Puppy Kindergarten consists of four private, one-on-one training sessions held weekly at The Composed Canine Training Studio.

In addition to your private lessons, you can also add on additional days of Day School!

In Day School, your puppy will spend the day learning, socializing, and building their self-confidence.

Your professional trainer will work one on one with your puppy reinforcing their training, safe socialization experiences, and pattern in crate and rest time (helping them learn to relax in new environments!)

Our Puppy Prodigy program is the ultimate foundation for your puppy’s development, combining all the essentials of Puppy Kindergarten with Day School for personalized training and structured socialization.

Puppy Prodigy combines the personal attention of one-on-one lessons with the power of daily reinforcement and structured socialization at Day School, giving you a well-rounded puppy with a strong foundation of skills, confidence, and calm behavior.

Day School days can be purchased individually to fit your needs and budget!

Day School can be scheduled on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays. Drop off is between 8:15 and 8:30, pickup is between 4:00 and 5:00.
