The Composed Canine offers tailored training to the specific needs of you and your dog. Each program can be modified to fit the specific needs of you and your dog.
All of our programs begin with a foundation of obedience. Your dog will learn to pay attention to you, even in the presence of distractions like other dogs, people, treats, toys, bunnies, and more.
With a foundation in obedience, we can also work through more serious issues needing behavior modification such as reactivity (when your dog barks at dogs or people), aggression, extreme fear and timidity.
The Good Dog - Private and Semi Private Lesson Program
Transform your dog into the reliable companion you’ve always wanted with our Good Dog program!
This course is designed to build essential skills, helping your dog become calm, attentive, and well-mannered at home and out in the world.
You’ll start with two private lessons to get a jump start on training in a non-distracting environment, teaching your dog to pay attention to you. After that, we move on to two semi-private sessions (up to 3 dog-handler teams).
Finally, you'll jump into our polishing class that ensures that your dog’s skills are sharp and ready for real-life situations.
With The Good Dog program, your dog will learn to come when called, walk nicely by your side on a loose leash, and stay confidently in a sit, down, or designated place.
Your Composed Canine - Private Lesson Program
A personalized training journey designed just for you and your dog will help you creat a balanced, well-behaved dog to beYour Composed Canine program. This program includes five one-on-one sessions scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Fridays to fit your needs.
The first four lessons take place at The Composed Canine facility, with the final session as an optional outing to practice skills in real-world settings.
In this program, your dog will learn to walk calmly by your side on a loose leash, even with distractions, and reliably respond to “sit” and “stay.” They’ll come every time you call and develop excellent house manners, plus we’ll address any behavior challenges specific to your dog.
Board & Train Program
The Composed Canine Board & Train program is our most exclusive program. It is the fastest, most done-for-you program we offer.
Participants stay in my home and accompany me to The Composed Canine training studio on some days. They will join me on adventures around town and practice their obedience in public places with me.
Your dog will learn to live in a calmer state of mind, make better decisions, and look to you for guidance - all while moving at your dog’s pace.
This program is best for owners who have limited time to train their own dog, or if your dog has more severe behavior issues to work through.
Group Obedience Class!
Group Obedience Class is truly one of the best and most effective ways to train your dog because you do the bulk of the training.
The Composed Canine will coach participants through the process of teaching your dog to walk nicely on leash, sit and stay, down and stay, go to and stay on place (bed), and intro to coming when called.
Class size is very limited, so you’ll get plenty of one on one attention while also practicing around other dogs.
Group Obedience Class is best for dogs that are not experiencing issues with aggression.
Our next group class will take place in the Spring of 2025.
