Pflugerville, TX

Effective dog training for both ends of the leash.

Whether you need basic puppy training, help with adolescent dog tomfoolery, reactivity, resource guarding, anxiety/fear/timid behavior, a dog that doesn’t listen, or just basic dog training, we can help you create or change your relationship with your dog today!

The Composed Canine is devoted to helping you enjoy your dog more! Whether you want them to join you for a patio coffee at the local shop, go for an off leash hike, need behavior modification, or education and socialization for your new puppy, The Composed Canine can fill your needs as a dog lover and pet owner.

Dog Training Solutions

The Composed Canine offers tailored training to the specific needs of you and your dog. Each program can be modified to fit the specific needs of you and your dog.

All of our programs begin with a foundation of obedience. Your dog will learn to pay attention to you, even in the presence of distractions like other dogs, people, treats, toys, bunnies, and more.

With a foundation in obedience, we can also work through more serious issues needing behavior modification such as reactivity (when your dog barks at dogs or people), aggression, extreme fear and timidity.

Your Composed Canine - Private Lesson Program

Our private lesson program coaches owners through the step-by-step process of training your dog! We offer the same end goal as our board & train program - an empowered owner and a happy dog who can enjoy adventures together both on and off leash.

This program is great for dogs with or without behavioral problems, including “selective hearing,” reactivity, mild aggression, or general naughtiness.

Your Composed Canine - Elite!

This is our most popular program!

In addition to private lessons, you can drop your dog off at The Composed Canine training facility for Day School where they will have time to work one-on-one with their professional trainer, go on outings, and have video highlights of their training sessions uploaded to the private facebook group so you can see their progress.

Once your dog progresses through the training, we can also take our private lessons out on the town! Common adventures include going to Pfluger Park, The Home Depot, West Pecan Coffee, dog-friendly retail stores in Stonehill, and more!

Board & Train Program

The Composed Canine Board & Train program is our most exclusive program. It is the fastest, most done-for-you program we offer.

Participants stay in my home and accompany me to The Composed Canine training studio on some days. They will join me on adventures around town and practice their obedience in public places with me.

Your dog will learn to live in a calmer state of mind, make better decisions, and look to you for guidance - all while moving at your dog’s pace.

This program is best for owners who have limited time to train their own dog, or if your dog has more severe behavior issues to work through.

Lots of dogs and doodles paying attention to their owners during Group Obedience Class training.

Group Obedience Class!

Group Obedience Class is truly one of the best and most effective ways to train your dog because you do the bulk of the training.

The Composed Canine will coach participants through the process of teaching your dog to walk nicely on leash, sit and stay, down and stay, go to and stay on place (bed), and intro to coming when called.

Class size is very limited, so you’ll get plenty of one on one attention while also practicing around other dogs.

Group Obedience Class is best for dogs that are not experiencing issues with aggression.

Our next group class will take place in the Spring of 2025.
